Rumbling noise when turning right.
Discussion
Hi all.
My wife drives a bmw 1 series and when you are over 40mph ish and steer right there is a grumbling noise that sounds like its from the front right wheel. The harsher the turn the louder it is but it can't be heard whilst driving straight or turning to the left. Would anyone have any advice on what could be causing it or had the same issue? Thanks

Thanks for the replies I always thought a bearing could be heard all the time.
When they get really bad they can be, but in the early stages increased load (especially lateral loading from cornering for example) can induce a rumble that goes away afterwards. Can be frustrating as there might be no noise, play or roughness when the wheel is jacked up and spun, but I've done enough of them to make an informed guess!Darkslider said:
