Since the Hulk was discontinued prices have gone stratospheric, does anyone know the retail price over time before the world went mad !

If you have a look on watchfinder, a lot of the 2019/2020 watches that they sell they display the RRP price even if they are selling it for twice as much.

I got mine for retail in the USA in 2018 and it was $9,999. I can't remember if that was before or after tax.

When the Hulk was officially discontinued in September, grey/used dealers instantly upped the prices of them to £20k-22k and amazingly people rushed to buy them as they thought prices would continue to rocket.

They have (mostly) backed off to £14k-16k now.

It is entirely possible that anyone who rushed in at £20k or more has already taken a bath of £5k.

Buying in at around £15k will likely be fairly safe, and provided the Rolex 'bubble' doesn't burst (See other thread) then a Hulk will probably be a financially appreciating watch.

Personally, looking purely at value, I think anyone who pays £15k for a fairly ordinary, mass produced, 40mm stainless steel dive watch needs their head examined.

(Note: I should make it clear that some price variations are due to the age and condition of the particular watch at the time)

Thanks for all the advice and well done to those who bought wisely, anyhoo I have taken the plunge and bought a mint unused 2019 example.

The chap I bought from paid 8,600 CHF making a nice tidy profit and as I plan to keep the watch I will enjoy my investment overtime.

I love how the face looks black from certain angles and then pops a lovely green colour hence the Hulk nickname by accident or design who knows ?

Nice buy!
Would appreciate a few photos of the watch from said angles if possible? Tia.

Edit to say I just found a review on utube. It’s rather glorious isn’t it?

I paid Watchfinder £4K for one in the summer of 2010! My wife didn’t like the all green and I was on the fence so I took it back under the distance selling rules. Oh to have a crystal ball.

Bought mine around 2012/13 (can’t remember precisely). Cost £6k. Walked into local AD. I wanted to buy a black sub. The wife saw the hulk in the window (they were easy to get in those days) and convinced me to get it. Her argument was that everyone has a black one and this would be a bit different to the norm. I wasn’t convinced, but went with it. Glad I did!

Bought mine in 2013 for around £5k. I have a SS Daytona and got a Pepsi earlier this year but wear my Hulk day in day out, work, Gym, running, swimming, Golf and still looks great after a quick wipe over.

Its nice to have the other 2 to wear on nights out ( when the government allow! ) but I do prefer my Hulk..

Although just had the Daytona serviced at my local AD and it does look stunning again....
