Professional housesitters - anyone used them?

We're thinking of getting some housesitters in while we are away in August. We have used friends before but cannot find any any able to do it this time round.

Has anyone used professional housesitting agencies before?

Can you trust any of the neighbours to keep an eye on the place?

Personally I wouldn't want someone I didn't know snooping around my home. Paying for the privilege seems a bit odd to me.

Are there pets or something that need looking after? Or does the Cerb need regular attention?

1. I dunno! But if they are "pros" form an agency, |I suspect there is some recourse if the towels and slippers go missing.
