How long is it until you get to know if you have been "done" or not? I think i was "hairdryered" about 3 weeks ago... but no paperwork. So how long do you have to worry till your safe?

Also..... andone know about FRANCE? If you are Gatso flashed in france, but not stopped... are they "linked" up to the UK at all? Do they try to get you in the UK? I have heard they ae going to link up all of the EU for speeding fines and points???

The registered keeper of a vehicle must be notified of an alleged offence within 14 days. If not (give or take a day) the speeding conviction cannot stand.

DM answers Q 1

Q.2 At the moment speeding offences, points etc incurred in EEC has no effect on UK driving record. That was the good news. The bad news is that they are working on harmonising traffic matters so that occurring in EEC will be recognised in UK. The other way around Sec of State UK can inform his counterparts in EEC of any transgressions re points etc commited whilst visiting this country.
