AM Works - Unusual New Vantage for sale

I guess Mr Hollywood must have invested a lot of time and money with Q to end up with this.

I must be missing it too. I remember a while ago AP shared some pictures of his red Vantage which had the same cut out vents. There was a thread on here about it. I don’t think they are a standard option, and I’ve read elsewhere that this car is fitted with a CF bonnet from the AMR Le Mans Race car.

As for the price, it’s certainly optimistic, as mechanically I would assume it’s pretty much a standard car underneath all the fancy addenda. Happy to be corrected on that though.

Is it me or does the paint on the bonnet not quite match the paint on the lower front.

Also, why is panel gap so bad on the front? Surely that is worse than normal. I don't think I've seen a modern Aston with such wide gaps.

Good car absolutely ruined by someone with more money than taste , I never got as far as the price and I’m genuinely shocked at it, but I’d be amazed if there were two people daft enough to like it.

A quarter of a million quid ffs.

I had the same email and struggled to see why it was so expensive ! I do like the bonnet vents - they look less of an addition than those on the red AP car - maybe its the colour that gives that impression.

The graphics are a bit excessive for my taste, and the comments about the panel gaps are spot on.

If you take a look at the AM Works listing in the PH classifieds there is a little more descriptive text. The name of the original owner is on the sill plaque in one of the pictures. I agree with you though. I can’t see why it should be worth more than twice the price of a standard car of similar age. Maybe a collector will snap it up.

Interesting. 250k and then you scroll down and find two Vantages at 90k - so you kind of get prepped for what awaits you once you leave Newport Pagnell.

Certainly to some degree a matter of taste. Thinking of the 2017 Vantage GT8, this is something quite in line. A clear reference to the GT4 class cars.
I really like the cut outs in the carbon fibre bonnet.
Together with the rear wing it is a true AMR GT4 edition.
Personally I would have avoided most of the yellow (or lime) paint details and certainly an AMR edition needs Alcantara interior.
On a track day this car certainly would turn heads, even between "colorful" 911 GT3 cars.
But the price? Much more than a brand new GT4 car, ready to race!

take the rear wing off and I quite like that colour, the lot. Panel gaps though do seem worse than on my car (not known for being the greatest fit and finish) but £250??

I can understand the excessive panel gaps around the bonnet if it’s a genuine GT4 component; these will not have been designed/built to the same production fit and finish standard.

I like the bonnet vents on a standard model. Skip the other mods...

I’d take a previous gen GT8 over this.
Can’t see the point in a tarted up new Vantage, nothing special nor desirable to my eyes but someone spent a lot of money speccing this up so there might be someone else out there who likes it enough to buy this!

£250k lol, those bonnet vents make the lights look even smaller. Its a no from me.

It is not the GTE or GT3 bonnet, which both have much larger cut outs and a different radiator layout.
And the GT4 bonnet has only the extremely small cut out, if at all.
