My Breitling Chronomat 38 SleekT
Discussion
The Breitling Chronomat 38 - I'm absolutely in love with my new watch. A now discontinued model, it's stand out features for me are the beautiful dial, highly polished case / bracelet and it's unique size (for a Breitling!). Another detail I love is the Tungsten bezel which really glistens next to the sapphire crystal.
I'm certainly used to larger watches, my Tag F1 is my daily and weighs in at 43mm which puts the Breitling in the occasional wear category for me. The mechanism is certified with a 42hr power reserve.
It's straight out of the mail this morning and so still has the protective plastics affixed until I get the strap adjusted tomorrow. I'm getting used to the life of automatics coming from a mainly quartz background. I was interested reading in the manual that the time should not be moved backwards nor the calendar adjusted if the hour hand is between 8 and 3pm. Something I never would have thought about had I not read the manual. Any advice would be appreciated regarding the mechanism I know nothing about it!
As an occasional piece (weekend evenings I imagine) I am wondering if a watch winder is a good idea for that usage pattern. Again advice well received. Thanks for reading.
