Anybody tried these on a 993tt? What are they like? Did you keep them on?

I have had these on both my n/a 993's and loved them, and also interested to hear what they are like on a 993tt.

Anyone?

If they are anywhere near as good on a turbo as mine are on my C2 , you've got to get some

Are they much louder, any resonance? I presume they are ok for an MOT?

Difficult to quantify how much louder they are, but definitely a much deeper sound. Mine were put on at the same time as a service and MOT were done with no problems apparently.

Is there any more noise from these exhausts at a steady cruise eg. motorway/A-road?

Not that is really noticeable. Most of the extra noise comes at tickover or under acceleration. I don't know of anyone who for the price has returned them to Gert once they've been on the car.

Our friend Burzel sold me mine and I am not really sure if they are the RSR`s or not (I assume that they are) but they have a fantastic sound above about 4000 rpm.

Pop and bang a bit on up changes and the overrun, but I dont know how they would deal with the extra heat generated with the 993TT!

John, didn't you have cat bypasses or 100 cells on yours? You're the only person i know who didn't keep the RSR's.

I liked the sound, they were too noisy for regular track days and on a rolling road, lost a couple of bhp over standard at the top end.
There is a sound file Joust made at one of the Vmax's somewhere, everyone there loved the sound.

For a dedicated road car they are fine, I just prefer not to risk being sent home having paid for a trackday.

Don't think so.....DeR has a decent sports exhaust on his incredible Turbo which sounds amazing...so I can realise the potential.

Mine were reading 108-110 db under part load in an RS (less sound proofing) and open airbox it was a little excessive,,at least for me.

Fine for a car as a Turbo which is fully padded out and less likely to spend time on track.

Clubsport - thats loud!! Never had a problem at trackdays with my RSRs, and they get louder and deeper sounding with age too. Love the popping on the overrun...

Dont forget to keep the clutch depressed when noise tested too -for anyone with a LWF that is!).
