As a long term hater of the clandestine stealth taxation of the vile Labour government, but as a relative newcomer to these forums, it strikes me that there are a large number of threads asking "what sort of cameras are these"? when spotting ANPR, talivans etc. What should be implemented is a uniformity about the appearance of such devices...

If Scam partnerships must exist, then ALL vans/motorbikes/cars nationwide should be painted in the SAME colourscheme. There's the crazy situation now of panic braking when seeing any vehicle perched on a bridge or in a layby. It's a climate of fear - uniform painting of vehicles would show the partnerships to be more honest, rather than in some cases blatantly designing their vehicles to look like contractors vans.

All speed cameras must be painted the same colour, likewise all TrafficMaster cameras must be the same colour. Then there can be no confusion and unnecessary worry. ANPR vans should be a uniform colour and paintscheme, and their cameras should be likewise.

Good point, good idea. They wont go for it as its a scheme set up for the purposes of persecution, fear and revenue. :needs a shoulder shrug smiley:

Why would the Praternships want to be more honest? It's all about an underhand method of perpetuating their own gravy train.

They have nothing to win by being nice to the public!
