mifi USB dongle with a Chromebook?

Will a USB mifi dongle work with a Chromebook?

I know someone who lives in a caravan (retired farmer, not a traveller) and has no landline. She has a mifi dongle that she used with a laptop, just wondering if it will work with a Chromebook.
I know absolutely nothing about mifi dongles, or Chromebooks.

yes it should, the dongle itself is merely powered via the usb connection and they usually carry drivers required for any installation. simply connect to the internet via the dongle
