Has anyone gone accessed this scheme? I require some part time general help around the business and was thinking of getting a teenager to help out on Saturdays and school holidays. However it turns out that it's not straightforward to employ someone younger than the school leaving age in a garage.

I then read about Kickstart and it seems a bit too good to be true. I can get a £1,500 grant up front and the wages paid for a part time person for six months.

My apprentice knows someone who would qualify and is interested in the opportunity. If they lasted the six months then I'd be willing to offer them a proper opportunity.

Am I missing something?!

I don’t think so!

You would have to go through a group as it’s a minimum of 30 employees however we have been signed up for months and still no progress!

Seems very slow to get started!
