Wasn’t what I had in mind originally, now going to attack it with a tin of ACF50.

Very nice!

What were you intending to get originally and what swayed you?

(I'm tempted to get one as my next bike).

SD GT or a big BMW.

It was the heft of the BMWs and all the small niggles with KTMs that put me off.

Thats what I told myself anyway. In reality the bike is just bloody good fun so I was easily able to talk myself around it’s short comings compared to the others.

Be prepared to fill up a lot. I rode to London and back with a mate who was riding one. I filled up before we set off and topped up 50 miles from home. He also started off with a full tank. My top up was his 2nd subsequent fill up!

Christ I love MT10s. Especially in SP flavour. Yours looks like a peach too - enjoy!

Actually managed a B2B ride of both this one and my old FZ1 today (site visit and then a trip to the shops, if anyone’s wondering). Difference is phenomenal. The MT10 is so much sharper and more precise. Heated grips are a bit weak & the throttle tube feels a little loose though, but they’re sortable.

Mine is here too now, akrapovic and decay is a very loud combo! Think I'll put the oem cat back in.

Retrofitting heated grips onto mine over winter.
