I want to buy a new helmet and gloves, I've visited the MK store but they didn't have everything in stock, their returns policy seems more than reasonable:

"You can return any item within 365 days and we will gladly replace the item or offer a full refund for it. Furthermore, if your order was over £25, your return will be free"

Presumably some of you have used it - is it hassle free ?

How many helmets is it reasonable to try 2 ? 3 ?

I've tried them before and the returns process was utterly painless...although that was a few years ago hence pre-Covid.

I was rather gutted actually that the helmet I'd bought _didn't_ fit rather than hoping it would. For the last 3-4helmets I'd bought AGV and just bought the same size again...turns out they'd changed the shell design/shape and the new one was headache-inducingly painful within about 20seconds!

AGV are dead to me now!

Anyway, although I didn't end up buying a helmet from them I would 100% buy from them again. Or not buy, you know what I mean.

I have returned items for a size change before without problem. Are you planning on taking them for a test ride?

I was told if you remove the film you can't return them but I must admit I'm keen to buy the one that buffets the least having made a mistake with my first helmet (although admittedly it was bought mostly for greenlaning) it's dire at higher speeds despite every review saying it was fine.

I tried 8 in the shop - mostly because I thought I was a medium and the sales guy said they were too big, then two of the smalls were too small, plus budget creep...

OP, just phone them up and ask them. I’m sure they would help you out. Getting the right hat is essential but I’m sure one day I will spunk up hundreds for something that kills me after half an hour. Been lucky so far!
The best customer service I have ever experienced and now they are my ‘go to’ store.

In the Leeds store they offer 7 days use of try-me helmets - maybe you can do hat?

They were very easy going Sunday when I returned a jacket I didn't want. No questions refund .

You can order stuff to be sent to the shop, without paying for it, to try on. If MK is local to you then do that. I got them to send 7 jackets to a shop to try on. Send 7; I bought 1.

They do have a good returns policy, but goods also have to be in as-sold and unused condition so they can still be sold to someone else. So no, you can’t ride around in a helmet all day then return that.

They are my go too, you can replace a helmet but only if you haven't removed the stickers/film from the visor

It is possible to remove the film from the visor and put it on some clingfilm, test the helmet properly then re-stick it to the visor with soapy water and a squeegee, just don't get any paper stickers wet, and make sure the helmet is as clean as new, I must admit I've done it a couple of times to properly test helmets for wind noise and buffeting and returned them without question.

I've done the same, nice and easy, no faffing about sending stuff back. They're really helpful in the store too.

I've spent a LOT of my hard earned with Sportsbikeshop. I can't rate them highly enough. I had an Icon jacket, 11 months old & the zip failed. Exchanged for a brand new item within a couple of days.

I returned a set of tyre warmers recently that werent working properly.

Had just ticked over the year so was offered a replacement or credit note.

Overall very good service, the only negative being that they shipped the replacement to the address that was on the original order without checking if that was correct.

It shipped to the girlfriends old workplace which wasnt ideal!

you wont have any problem with them. I've used them too many times.
