Anyone else watching this gritty Australian drama inspired by the critically acclaimed feature film The Magician, Scott Ryan reprises the role of charismatic, yet volatile hit-man Ray Shoesmith. Driven by dark humour and off-beat conversation, the series follows Ray as he navigates his chilling business, while also maintaining friendships, parental responsibilities and a fledgling romance. Tough roles to juggle in the modern age and even harder when you're a criminal for hire.

I watched the first one and am not sure either way yet (though I do think at points he was channeling William Defoe) will carry on for the time being

Surprised this isn't getting more attention.
Finished the 2nd series and we finally see some emotion from the character.....or is it just that the guy isn't a very good actor ?

I'm not enjoying this series as much as the first two, seems a bit hit and miss.

If you enjoy the show, try and catch the film on which its based https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0461989/

A brilliant brilliant Australian series about a criminal-for-hire type bloke.

Well written, well acted, a real hidden gem.
