Keep the chrome, remove the window tints, and change the wheels to silver - it'll look infinitely better.

All personal taste, I think it looks good as it is TBH.

The chrome matches the wheel rims and the tinted glass matches the black wheels.

I'm going to buck the trend and say dechrome. But I'd agree with the other posters that the wheels would look better not black and without chrome lips. Gunmetal goes nicely with silver.

Remove the tints, keep the wheel colour. It was an expensive factory option after all.

But most importantly, get an LSD if you haven't got one already.

Totally transformed my one.

Enjoy. Driving a W205 or any later saloon is a let down compared to one of these.

My C63 doesn't have an LSD, and to be honest I don't really know what I'm missing as I've never had any issues with getting the power down. Certainly not on public roads anyway.

Saying that, i wouldn't be adverse to having one fitted if the price was right.

I just don't see it as being a make or break issue when looking to buy a C63.

I’d agree with that too, but I bloody hate chrome on cars for anything other than exhaust tips.

I have a similar colour scheme on my diesel coupe. I think a little bit of chrome breaks it up a bit.

Mine has black mirrors, black C63 style wrap on the bumper, black grill surround but with chrome details .

Hi all,
The much debated question is whether i should fully dechrome and black everything out?
The answer to dechroming is always yes.
Wheels should never be black.

If you don't miss it / need it, that's cool.

For me, being used to previous M cars, 911s, it was a liability when driven briskly without it. The rear tyres are even smaller than an E46 M3 with an LSD. Traction is much improved with a Quaife diff fitted and you can really play with the handling balance. Sublime. There's a good reason why Mercedes sorted it out for the next version.

Derestricting the throttle (so it can open past ~60%) also makes a big difference above 5k. Mine made 517bhp afterwards. That was completely unnecessary but fun nonetheless smile

Yep, agreed, this.

IMO - window tints make cars look like vans.

Great car BTW!

Leave the window tints and wheels as they are- they suit the car.

Definitely. Black rims look ‘lost’ in dark arches. Personal choice, obviously, but I hate black rims.

Each to their own, personally I would loose the tints, wheels silver and then decide whether to dechrome but everyone's taste is different.
Just replaced my W204 coupe which had a fair bit of chrome with silver OE wheels but non OE calipers in AMG gold which I thought looked good but others may not, now gone the opposite with a 4 series m sport fully dechromed with all the trim gloss black and wheels diamond turned and gloss black.
When you walk away from your car and turn round to look at it and you're happy that's all that matters

Looks like mine, but mine is Polar with Matt-black wheels - all as it left Affalterbach in 2013.

For me, any kind of cosmetic modifications look chav. It’s a bit like men that spray tan.

Regardless... I do accept that we are all different...!
