What do you reckon, is it just outside tolerances :eek:

For those who don't do greasy bits, that's a straight tie bar from the rear suspension, exhibited against an actually straight trailing arm! Lets just say it would have been interesting if that had failed in service.

Other one was like it too, just not quite as bad. Two indendations, trolley jack distance apart in each

I thought a quick bash with my sledgehammer should sort it Either that or I use my pair of freshly painted, virtually new tie bars that I got hold of......

I had one collapse on the 350, the weld broke where the thread met the bar (A frame type)

Made some interesting noises round corners !!
