Lockdown 2.0

What's you opinion on Scottish lockdown 2.0? Should they stick to the tier system introduced or will they go into lockdown since rishi announced funding.

I'm hoping she will buck the trend and keep as is and no lockdown introduced

Hopefully people will just look at the graphs and figures and realise the R rate has dropped and the statistics and doom mongering from Whitty, Valance, Ferguson and the rest of the SAGE numpties weren't just inaccurate they were downright dishonest bordering on criminal in their guesstimates.

Meanwhile it's all kicking off in Manchester Uni, what were they thinking putting up fences to keep the students from leaving campus.

That is horrific, no idea what some people are thinking, we don't actually live in a police state despite how our authorities are behaving.

Scotland is in a stupid position which exposes how awkward and unhelpful devolved powers are when it comes to dealing with a global issue (or in general...). Honestly I'd rather see a UK wide response not least because for people living and working near the border there are several farcical situations that arise from the current fragmented response. Queen Nic is making comments about seeing improvements in the figures as a result of legislation which came into force on Monday (apparently we zip up the back ), yet the legislation appears to be widely ignored and the dip in the figures looks most attributable to school holidays.

Tweak tier 4 to bring it into line with England and apply to Greater Glasgow and Lanarkshire health boards in my opinion.

Sturgeon has repeatedly said that if she had more resources available to her, she'd go further. So, with furlough being extended, I wouldn't be surprised if she chucked us into lockdown. My gut feeling is that she won't, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did.

She also wants to make travel outwith one's council area illegal.

Are the scientists worried to be the scape goats if the death rate is too high? And covering their backsides to protect them from any back lash?

We should have done the same in England. The horse that had been backed wasn't given enough time. Crap leadership.
