Discussion
Likewise I subscribe to the UK data service. Its USP is their Quality/Value/Momentum metric which translates into Stockranks.
tbh, I haven't spent enough time digging into these metrics and developing my own filters etc. Partly because I felt they could be misleading post-covid (with many earnings estimates etc being suspended) until fundamental data is reset. The founder is at pains to stress that a high SR doesn't guarantee outperformance and that a portfolio approach is best.
The discussions board is invariably high quality, positive and a good read. Lots of informed posters though I suspect a preponderance of retired accountant types! If the chief writer Paul Scott left then I'd reconsider.
One irritation is that many of these clever chaps seem to believe the world ends at the English channel and appear to have no global exposure. To me, this extreme home country bias is at odds with professionally managed DC funds and akin to running a race with one leg strapped behind your back. There are a few exceptions luckily.
Another negative - it's hopeless for Investment Trusts and ETFs.
Main competitors I believe are Sharepad and Vector Vest (which is a bit more of a black box).
