beggars belief not only did she drive the wrong way up the M60 and fiddled around with her phone ,which resulted in a head on crash ,
she had no licence and no insurance ..

she then decides its ok to drive herself to Crown court for the hearing ...again with no licence or insurance ..and after subsequently being disqualified ...gets back in her car and drives home , again .

Capital punishment.
If you are unwilling to follow basic rules of society, then you shouldn't be allowed in society.

Be fair- now she's been locked up she wants to apologise, repent & be a model citizen. The incarceration & change of heart are not necessarily connected.

On completion of any sentence I'd recommend deportation back to Brazil.

From the mail link;

''Knopka moved to the UK three and a half years ago and only held a provisional UK driving licence.''

Maybe we can deport her back to wherever she, and her two sons, hailed from?

No, I thought not...

Why the hell is this scumbag in our country?
Another reason for thorough vetting of anyone who wants to live here.
We don't want the rubbish of the world here, we have enough of our home bred lowlife as it is.
Does someone have to die or suffer life changing injuries before serious penalties are given out?

Just researched Fiju, who appears to be an advocate of forced sterilisation for the poor

Are you SURE?
Okay, she broke the law, and appears incapable of understanding that you do not drive without a licence and/or insurance, and you definitely DON’T get a driving ban, then go out and drive home, but a scumbag?
Gimme a break, a scumbag is someone like the guy in Derby who set light to his house and killed six of his children, or Fred West, or Ian Brady, not an ignorant Brazilian woman who broke a driving law.
Don’t bother to scream, “would you say that if she killed your kids?”, even if she’d hurt someone in the head on crash, she’d still only be a dumb foreign driver, not a scumbag.

Sorry Frank I think you are wrong. She is a scumbag. No care for anyone but herself.
If she had hit anyone in a crash she would be a scumbag murderer

In a free and democratic society, you are entitled to your opinion anonymouser, sure, what she did was bang out of order, and there is no excuse for it, but calling her a scumbag is way too strong in my eyes.

Plenty of East European scumbags driving around my old home town in crappy foreign registered cars, no license, no insurance, pissed on homemade vodka.

The Police used to stop them & take them to the local court.
You could read the weekly cases in the local paper.

It would be a paragraph like this.

"Vladakisky Scumbagski of no fixed abode was stopped for speeding on the Axx.
He was sentenced to 6 points on his non existent UK license and ordered to pay 3 quid a week from his benefits for no tax, insurance or anything else"

Then they kind of gave up. No point as they would be back driving straight away again.

Much easier to go after middle class locals for 4 mph over on a dual carriageway as they can afford the fines & victim surcharge.

There's a good chance of deportation , as she cant speak English , she wont have passed "life in the UK test " and with a criminal conviction with jail time she's going to have difficulty with Visa extensions

Scumbag for someone who's had a head on catch the wrong way up a motorway, ignored everyone and continued to drive with bo license or insurance, then in court and ignored the judgement anyway, and tried to drive home. I'd say that's scumbag behaviour not a misinformed individual.

"Scumbag" is a pretty low level insult, which seems appropriate in this case.

Obviously other insults are available, very few of which would get past the swear filter. I am surprised that this has resulted in so much comment.

Different words trigger different people.
I would just as easily apply the description to ANYONE regardless of background.

I’m not sure that the immigration service could have known she was going to do this when they let her in the country originally.

As to the sort of non existent punishments that some licence less drivers seem to get Id suggest the law should allow for vehicle confiscation and destruction.

I’d love to see it happen to some of the Arab tossers who speed around in London in their Ferraris during the summer.

Many years ago, a Thursday morning in a rural Scottish court. Drunk driver appears in court, pleads guilty, fined £500, banned 3 years (third offence). Clerk of court (yours truly) goes back to office, sits down at desk, sees said drunk driver get into car which is parked in front of court and drive off.

Quick phone call to police station next door.

Friday morning, now disqualified driver, who was also drunk from over indulging on the Wednesday night, appears in court again in front of fairly annoyed Sheriff.

3 months in jail, banned for 15 years.

Some people are stupid.

Had something similar a couple of years ago when I was involved in a very nasty unavoidable collision with an unlicensed, uninsured drunk farm worker.

No action was taken as she went home after spending several weeks in hospital.
