Hi all,

Today I connected my pc to my TV to use as a HTPC, however there are audio glitches from all sources.

Set up is using HDMI cable from 1050ti to Samsung TV, Samsung (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) come up when I click on the speaker icon.

Previously I had only ever done audio through headphones as I had it connected to a monitor.

The sounds glitch is either a slight dropout or a zzz electrical noise for half a second or so, every 20 seconds.

Any tips or anything I should look at? Is it drivers, or is my 1050ti too old?

Playing steam games it's ok with it, but movies and Sky Go don't really work.

Cheers

As a thought, would the quality of the HDMI cable be a possibility? It was just a cheap one my in-law had spare.

As an update to this, I had a look at the cable and it's only HDMI 1.3, ordered a 2.0 amazon and they sent a bloody USB-B cable.

Hopefully should get new cable tomorrow. Fingers crossed all ok after that.

I played a game the other night with headphones plugged in through controller and no problems at all.

For closure - no audio glitches with the new cable.

Thanks for the help wink
