Seems to be a normal shopping day in Crawley, why?

My daughter went to Crawley to pick something up from her office today and couldn’t believe the amount of people shopping there!

Scenes we saw on the news last night were of empty High Streets in other towns.

Any idea what’s going on? The whole point of lockdown is to stop people mixing but if anyone knows the Crawley demographic then it’s probably not surprising!

Anyone out should be stopped by the police and if against the guidance they should be dealt with appropriately.

You think it’s right for the police to be used to enforce complete isolation for a virus that has about a 0.05% infection fatality rate amongst those under 70?

I will not comply to any more nonsense, it’s not March anymore and many of us have learnt enough about this is rightly not be concerned.

Those that are at risk can lock themselves away until there is a vaccine, I certainly wont be. If that means a few 85 year olds crock a few weeks/years early, then so be it.

The number of deaths and reduced life expectancies from other diseases as a result of delays in diagnosis and treatment due to covid should be of greater concern.

I read the other day of a 31 year old mother who has died as a result of her treatment for bowel cancer being "paused" due to covid.

As far as I'm concerned that one death is more tragic than any number of moribund geriatrics who succumb to covid rather than something else (probably seasonal flu) that would almost certainly have finished them off anyway.

And this was the problem, like the last time the guidance and the law are completely different. As such despite the bedwetter protestations it’s (thankfully) not possible

You should start a 1 man crusade on your local high street. Start with the bigger boys and the gentleman with no teeth and an earthy odour.
