Mk3 MR2 Clutch Judder

I've had an MR2 now for a few months. Plans for light restoration (mainly rusty bits).

One thing that's annoying me is there is a judder on engaging the clutch. Particularly on downshifts.

If I rev match its fine.

Any thoughts? I presume it'll be a gearbox off and have a look job. Recent clutch (<20k miles) before anyone asks.

Could be a crap clutch, poorly fitted or an actual fault, maybe fluid contamination or something.
