Gloves for people with shorter fingers
Discussion
Hi All,
I'm in the market for some new gloves, winter ones, waterproof but short cuff if possible.
I have some RST Stunt 3's for summer, and I previously had some RST Paragon 2's, both in size XL-11cm.
This time, I've tried some Rev'it Kryptonite 2 gloves, look good, Gore-Tex, padded but bonded layers so not to fluffy on the controls.
I got a 2XL size, which apparently is suitable for a 10cm hand.
They fit well in the palm but the fingers are a bit long, worst offender being the thumb, which is a good 1/2" too long and its a bit in the way going for the indicator switch. The RST's were the same, but not as bad, and they are in a smaller size (XL vs 2XL)
How much 'give' do gloves have? If i got the size XL, presumably the fingers would be a little shorter but the palm maybe tighter, will it ease up over time?
Or, is there a better, Gore-Tex/insulated/short cuff glove for my shorter fingers?
Thanks
Matt

I bought a pair of Held waterproof gloves recently and when I read the sizing guide, I noticed that they also make short finger gloves. No idea how available they are; special order maybe.
I had a similar level of angst when I bought those gloves but ended up getting a set with the right finger length but felt too tight around my hands. They have given a little bit and I don't notice the tightness now. Too long fingers means not enough control of the bike for me, so that's a no-go.

I had a similar issue when buying my first gloves the other week. I don't know my measurements but I ended up spending a lot more than intended and getting some Rukka Gore-tex gloves. I went round a couple local places and tried heaps on and they were the only ones that weren't leather (wanted textile) that were comfortable and would still be cosy.
I would recommend but yeah, they were knocking on £150.
