B, P & T: Disappearing Threads?

Why do threads on here sometimes disappear without trace?

There were two about Bluebird K7 not so long ago, and yesterday another started by someone who seemed to think that giant triangles were invading our airspace (which was funny while it lasted).

They don't even appear in "My replies" anymore.

I guess this thread will also disappear or get moved, but I'd still be interested to know what's going on.

Haven't noticed any recently, a thread can go missing if it's been merged as it doesn't leave a trial like a moved thread. We've merged a couple of threads recently but not in here I don't think.

There was one today that’s gone now - something about American spy planes and whacky technology.

Because he's a bit of a snowflake and probably also the thread attracted some quite odd people.

Why? It was hilarious - I was waiting for the opportunity to post my firework/triangular UFO photo, and only had to wait 3 days!

Hilarious is perhaps stretching it a bit but it seemed a harmless-enough thread otherwise.

I was about to ask a reasonably intelligent question about what had happened to the TR3A.

I was wondring what happened to the thread. Did the fire work make you go ohh or ahhh? I did ask in the original thread....

Sometimes threads in here get derailed, crash & burn or even sink without trace. It's just the way of the world sometimes.

But the wreckage is usually left at the electronic roadside as a warning for others to not post about ambiwlans etc?
