I tried to look at ebay tonight and the web page looks like this.
All other sites appear as normal as usual. Can someone please tell me what has happened and how to restore it, thanks. smile

I sometimes see that briefly when the page hasn't fully loaded. Did you try just waiting?

Your ISP has decided you're not worthy of seeing the page as it would be displayed if you had a full/fast broadband connection. Basically you're being badly throttled, possibly as a side effect of lockdown and the resultant large numbers of people being at home, browsing/streaming at the same time etc.

In other words you're being presented with the lowest overhead version of ebay that can be presented due to temporary limitations in bandwith/data transfer speeds.

Just gone back to the page and it's still the same.
If I scroll down, there are images there but just a long list. It's as if nothing is being compressed, I don't suppose that's the right term though.

The page just isnt loading properly. It isnt receiving the info for where to position each element.
Have you tried one of your other browsers? or on your phone/tablet?
Either way, it will sort itself by tomorrow.
Are all other pages ok?

Thanks, but why only ebay? I have 6 other tabs open and they're all OK. I have closed 2 others with no change.

Edit, now only have 4 in total, still the same.

The CSS isn't loading, most likely because the version you have cached wasn't properly downloaded, but the date & time correspond with the current version so your browser isn't fetching it again.

CTRL+F5 should get it back, this reloads all elements.

I've had the same the last couple of days on an iMac using Firefox and Safari/Android phone and tablet using Opera - it's all back to normal now though.

Just to update, thanks for the replies. I've not been able to look at it today until now and all seems to be back to normal.

I smashed my phone today though...smash
