Couple robbed £35k Rolex taken!

A couple were robbed of a watch after a restaurant meal by a gang of three with baseball bats. The following day after a tip off a security company sent a team with dogs to a derelict property and held the gang whilst waiting for the police. The police did not attend and the gang left. Manchester Evening News link https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ . Clearly the wrong crime was reported, should have popped in for tea and biscuits, Bib would have been round within minutes. Or "who let the dogs out". Of cause given the MEN the whole thing could be rubbish(see link in invalid insurance thread).
t, surprising the cops couldn't attend the criminals house when the security guards were there. You'd think security guards making a citizens arrest would provide a priority enough situation for the cops considering the risk of violence.

2k per week I'd want professional mercenaries armed to the teeth to hunt down and "disappear" said criminal scumbags. I'd expect the police to attend the scene of a robbery. I'd want to find out why they could attend when the security guards were detaining them, albeit 'matching the description' may reflect how tenuous the information was.
