Samsung J5 (2016) wont boot up

Hi, I use an old phone (samsung j5) which has been fine till last night as I could not charge it up fully before I went to bed and today when I try to charge either via power bank or directly it does not seem to charge at all,even though when I plug it the charge icon comes on and then goes dead

Any ideas to over come this or has it give up its ghost?

Try booting it holding down power + volume down and see if it takes you to the recovery menu.

thanks it didnt go to the recovery menu but powered up and now working
