Iphone photos and vids tidy up!

Currrently using an Iphone7 with 128GB that is choc O bloc with photos and vids (10GB left available). I use the cloud but intend to scrap it. Also I'm very lazy and have never set up any sort of filing system, albums etc.

upgrade to a 12 Pro Max with 512GB that should last me another 4/5 years. So is there a quick way to sort them or drop the lot into a folder called "old photos"?

I really do not want to spend hours on this but do want them all on my phone. Ideas please thanks?

Icloud but I want to scrap that, I could use BT Cloud or a portable drive but I just want them all instantly available on my phone.

Try good photos free to use and once uploaded you can erase from your phone and they are available on your pc/Mac.

Sorry guys as I must've explained what I need badly. I want all my photos to remain on the phone physically. But all the existing ones in a single folder called Old Pics. The last time I looked at this it seemed as though I'd have to drag n drop them individually which would take hours. Hopefully I've missed something simple but I couldn't see a way to "select all" and to do it.
