Can anyone tell me if the engine / gearbox mounts are the same and interchangeable?

Thank you

Not 100% sure,

In the DB9 parts list the engine hydromounts part no is - 4G43-6A003-AD

The Auto gearbox hydromounts part no is - 4G43-6068-BC for coupe DB9.

They do look very similar but might have a different spec's.

They look VERY similar to a jag part -

I'm not 100% sure these are the same as I haven't replaced mine, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Thank you,
Yes, should of said db9.
I couldn't find it in the diagrams on scudaria parts,
But the gearbox mounts are on the same diagram as the engine mounts smile

So engine and gearbox mounts are definitely different.

Gearbox mounts are straight, engine mounts are at an angle on the Black end

Can’t see Aston Martin designing their own, when they were owned by Ford at the time, who also owned Jaguar.

Imagine the design, tooling and production costs...

The Jag ones may fit and provide the casing, but the tune of the rubber and hydraulic is unique to Aston.

There is only £7 difference in the jag branded part and the AM branded part as well

How easy/difficult is it to remove the front engine hydromounts??

Might be a job for next year!!

Not sure,
The gearbox one took about 20 mins to get a single one out.
Will just have to wait till next week till the new ones arrive and do it again

I'm going to check my engine mounts now as I have a pair to replace them smile and judging by the state of the rears, I think its a good bet

I would defy anyone to be able to tell the difference in driving mounts with a slightly different rubber durometer hardness. I see loads of cars with totally collapsed hydro mounts and the only way I can tell is visually the oil leak under the car during service or MOT, noone ever mentions any change in driveability. I can only see it making a difference on a track car where they are normally replaced for harder ones anyway to reduce engine float.
