1.4 petrol engine - turbo replacement

Hello PH,
My brother has a 2015 mk7 Golf 1.4 petrol (think it’s the EA211; lower-powered one; happy to be corrected) and has been told he needs a new turbo for it.
Halfords (I know, I know) have quoted him £1800 for a replacement, but this sounds stupidly high to me.
Can anyone shed any light on rough replacement costs, and ideally, recommend an indie in West London?
