Hi everyone

This is my first time buying a car in the UK so wanted to ask the community any advice about buying particularly Porsches from independent dealers vs an OPC/approved Porsche dealership?

Approved dealerships here seem to have the usual warranty benefts on used cars but the price differential between the OPCs and independents/car supermarkets (at least from the samples i've seen on autotrader) are extreme - like 5-10k GBP for roughly like for like cars. From what i'm reading on this forum, car supermarkets (motorpoint, motordepot etc). seem to be a no-go.

Any advice pros/cons? Also any tips for used car bargaining?

OPCs where I come from (middle east) are amenable to negotiating depending on time of month/year not sure how UK works so any advice appreciated.

If you’re concerned about an extended warranty, you can always have a 111 point check done by an OPC as apart of the inspection process, and then purchase a Porsche warranty.

That’ll cost you a bit, but more than covered by the price difference..
