So I was getting a few codes indicating that my camshaft sensor is not working on my 323ci, I’ve replaced it and now the car does not start first time.

I thought maybe because It’s a new part may just need to be used abit, but after a week still having trouble starting first time.

Anyone have any ideas?

Genuine OEM BMW sensor; or aftermarket one? If the latter; there's you're issue

Did you also get the codes read properly (INPA and the likes and not a generic code reader)?

Bosch only. Even the 'OEM' Bremi stuff is a bit crap.

It was aftermarket, the car seems to be starting correctly now but I’ll still replace it with a new OEM one
Thanks for the reply

Yup, so that sooner rather than later and it should be fine after that.

MAFs, cam and crank sensors on these need to be OEM only, unfortunately
