Not if you fly it as a normal aircraft & flight plan until the last minute
Ive always wondered why the 9/11 lot didnt just use all that Saudi money & hire some 747s ,pretend they were cargo planes, & just swerve at the last minute
I guess they wanted to kill all the passengers on the planes.Ive always wondered why the 9/11 lot didnt just use all that Saudi money & hire some 747s ,pretend they were cargo planes, & just swerve at the last minute

Getting away from the silliness, it does seem that this Phantom does appear to be one of the very first built and his some significant records attached to it. Where has it been hiding over the past 60 years.
Indeed. I thought "hmmm I wonder... and in checking my treasured Bill Gunston book about the F4 found it is (I think) an aircraft whose picture I've looked at innumerable times.At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, the issue isn't buying it, it's running it (much like my old Evo VI
)
Where are you going to store it? Who's going to maintain it and for how much? Would you keep the bang seats in and maintained? Have you got the cash to fuel it, especially with reheat usage?
Then there's the issue of are you good enough and experienced enough to fly it? Can you get it insured and certified? And who's going to sit in the back to help crew it (granted this is less of an issue for civilian use)?
Don't get me wrong, I'd sell my children to buy that jet as my own personal run-about but I think the list of individuals able to actually do it would be vanishingly small
