The perennial problem of dust on the chip is one that all digital SLR users are familiar with. I have just purchased a Giotto Rocket-Air Super Air blower brush and the results are amazing. I did a shoot yesterday and, so far, have come across no particles of dust in any of the pictures. Yureka! I bought my brush at Calumet and it cost about £7 + vat. Best £7 I ever spent.

The RocketAir seems to be quite popular for this, but to be honest the "CopperHill" method involving pecpads and Eclipse seems to be the only way to remove those 'stubborn stains'

Is there anywhere online I can purchase one of these? I have searched Calumet's web site to no avail.

I just noticed them on www.warehouseexpress.com/ sells them.

I bought mine from www.hiltonphoto.co.uk/products/details/186.html

The Copperhill method is the best but for intermediate cleanups, the Rocket is great.

They told me about the Eclipse, but, considering the cost of a new chip if I bugger it up, I decided that I'll send it off for a proper clean. £45 is cheaper than a new chip after all

Mine went to Nikon HQ today, no farting around, while you wait, cracking job, £21.60.

All the cleaning paraphernalia will be going to the back of the drawer....

Cheers Joust for that but I don't trust myself shoving hard objects inside very delicate equipment. I'm bound to break it!

I too have those, and the liquid, bought in desperation last week.
Must be my technique, I thought they were rubbish.

I've got 6 and a bottle of liquid minus two drops if any one wants them...
