Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations for good web hosts please? Looking for something that can provide email and word press.

I know good and cheap don't always go together, but something that isn't massively expensive would be preferable.

Also, does anyone know if any hosts will be offering black Friday deals?

Thanks.

I offer web hosting for many PistonHeads members. If you use the code 'PISTON' at checkout you get 50% off per month. This includes 1 click WordPress setup and will also support your email on UK servers. Feel free to ask me any questions smile You can purchase and use the code at https://blinkweb.co.uk/web-hosting.

Regarding other providers, First off I'd avoid any company owned by EIG Group as they really cram their servers, have poor support and poor performance. You can see the list of companies owned by EIG here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endurance_Internatio...

Krystal have good reviews and their support is great but they're a little more on the pricey side. Essentially, I would choose a host that you can contact with good support and one that's based in your country with servers in the country of your website.

I've been using https://www.unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk/ for the past couple of years. Support has been good and responsive whenever I've needed it.

Much better than the likes of GoDaddy/Wix etc.

I think you can still get $300 free worth of Google Cloud credit. Might be worth exploring? I've ran a Factorio server in there for some friends for a year and not spent a penny smile. Might be a bit more of a DIY option though, pretty sure you can still get a managed web server on demand.
