How did you discover PH?

A post on General Gassing yesterday got me thinking. A new member called Jimpson stated that he arrived at Pistonheads after seeing Mrs Ted driving Ted's Alpina emblazoned with a Pistonheads sticker.

Personally I discovered Pistonheads via a friend of mine who had been a long time lurker and I'm not sure whether it was a good thing I was introduced or not! I do wonder how else I might spend my time at work if I wasn't here!

So? Spill. How did you come across this wonderous site?

When I picked up my Cerb from James Agger, the last thing he said to me before I drove off was, "Check out Pistonheads, you'll find ALL the answers about your car and knowledge on just about anything else-and it's a laugh"

Was trawling the net looking for pictures of shiny Cerberas to adorn by boring desktop background and one of the google links was to the site. Had a mooch, lurked for a (long) while and eventually got involved. I got addicted and ended up buying a TVR and I blame it all on PH

I was looking for a kinky web site calleed Pissed on Heads, but this is much better.

For me it was last year on the way to Le Mans. I was driving my car onto the ferry and ogling all the other cars (as you do). Every other one seem to have a "Pistonheads" sticker on it.

I thought it would be a bunch on "car nerds", but it transpired it was a bunch of pretty humorous (in the main) car enthusiasts!

Sorry Ted but the truth is I first heard about the site thanks to a member’s ill-advised post that caused you a bit of bother a while back. Then at the end of last year Autosport's site was being a pain so I thought I'd have a look.

God damn it now I'm hooked
