Nice humblebrag.
Come everyone knows when you are in the market for a 9k+ watch, you end up buying one for 100 odd quid, then going straight on an internet forum to tell a bunch of Randoms, then subtly interject you've spunked 100 odd thousand on a car anyway.Edited by anonymous-user on Sunday 15th November 15:50

God knows what you made of the thread where I actually asked about the car, and the other absolutely heinous one where I thanked people for their advice and gave some first impressions.Edited by The Spruce Goose on Sunday 15th November 15:50
As above, it’s a watch forum, on a car site. Sad tits like you who lol for posts about nice cars to sneer at really do spoil this place.

No, you can go and police other people’s posts, I’m not going to stop posting about nice cars and bikes in the watch section of a car forum. The fact that people like you search them out to seer at is really nether here nor there.Edited by The Spruce Goose on Sunday 15th November 18:28

Search them out, I think it is the first time I've commented on your post. You notice how much you have actually posted about your watch you started the thread about??...anyway..
For what its worth OP, you didn't come across very well, so the flaming was probably to be expected.
The expensive car purchase or the postponed Yacht Master have no real relevance to posting about the purchase of the Casio, so why mention them?

When I looked at a 570, it was about 20-25 grand a year to own and run one. Thats a white gold Yachtmaster. If this is the angle then I get it.
I'd want to run one on finance from new to lock in the cost of ownership, so with 25k in, you're about 1k a month over 2 years.
Personally never seen the appeal of the Edifice, so would welcome your view OP. The under/over lap timer is quite cool.
Also, very happy for you to point us in the direction of your readers cars thread

I didn’t in the original post, and must admit I had no idea that mentioning either would get people so riled up.The expensive car purchase or the postponed Yacht Master have no real relevance to posting about the purchase of the Casio, so why mention them?

I’m still not really sure. People post about far more expensive purchases all the time on here, it doesn’t seem sensible to self-censor because some correspondents seem to care rather too much about what things cost.
The watch hasn’t arrived yet, I’d post more about it when It did if I thought the weirdos above actually were interested.

I’ve a previous edifice that I really like, but it’s just a bit too chunky. This one is supposedly a lot slimmer, but it’s hard to tell until I’ve tried it.I'd want to run one on finance from new to lock in the cost of ownership, so with 25k in, you're about 1k a month over 2 years.

For some reason I really like the solar-powered and radio-controlled aspect of them. This one takes its time by Bluetooth from your phone, so is probably every bit as accurate as the others.
I’m not sure about the metal bracelet, I may see if there’s a copy of an Oysterflex that will fit, but will try the metal first.

I have the black ion plated Edifice which I use every now and again just for the sake of it, but to be honest if you have any other relatively nice watches I don't expect you'll bother with it much.
You may be right, it’s a bit too nice to wear where it might get knocked around, but I may wear it for work, as the desk that I have in the office at home is metal framed, and is making a mess of my nice steel watches.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
