Hi guys,

Just thought you might want to know but it appears with IOs14 it dishes out multiple MAC addresses on your iphone as some kind of privacy setting to stop tracking of your phone across networks.

With that, it forces your router to dish out three separate ip addresses via DHCP for one device, potentially causing potential confusion on logs.

Had just logged into my ERX for some routine stuff and noticed all the iphones in the network had this switched on and had three ip's.

Yep, turned this off in our MDM system at work before it broke the WiFi system. On your personal device you turn it off per SSID which is quite handy, so you can keep your assigned address are home but stop tracking by your MAC address if connected to hotspots.

Yep - pain in the arse - have had to get each phone in the household and turn this off.

After doing a bit of reading, it turns out that iOS now recommends WPA3 rather than WPA2 so will now throw a privacy warning if you are not connected to a WPA3 network.

Yep issues here at home since my routers WIFI is tied down to selective MAC addresses.
