Haven't polished a visor but did a fairing screen with a specialist aquarium polish but ran out halfway and finished with normal car polish and to be honest the results from both looked the same, so I would try a normal mild car polish although it depends how bad the scratches are.
A foam polishing attachment for a drill may help, much more effective than hand polishing.
I know its a bit late now but I have cheap car tint film applied to both my helmets, as well as sun protection it prevents damage from stone chips or you wiping the visor, much cheaper than replacing the visor and peels off with no residue.

Cheers for all replies

I just use normal car polish and wax, works a treat.
Thanks for that, Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Meguiar's NXT brought it up a treat, wasn't sure if I needed something special for polycarb/lexan but the desired result has been achieved.Matt
