Unfortunately you haven't posted before so you'll struggle to get an answer here, that sort of information shouldn't fall into the wrong hands. You could try your local TVRCC group

I'm assuming the original poster can't get to the battery either in the cab or boot.

Anyway

I've not been locked out of my TVR so what about this suggestion to put some charge into the battery, would it work?

Providing I could get the car high enough with a trolley jack and stabilized of course so that the starter motor could be seen. What if I attached a battery charger to the positive termnal and a suitable neg' chassis point to put some energy into the flat battery?

What do peeps think?

cool

Yes, If my battery was flat I would be more interested in starting my car rather than getting into the boot . Otherwise a sledgehammer would be an appropriate soln. But put through the passenger window , then you don't have to sit on the glass when you take it to be repaired ... aka Peter W smile

You could do that. Though entry into the boot normally allows one to achieve a started car a few moments later.

I asked myself the same question and I think I understand how to do it even if I've never had confirmation.
If anyone could be kind enough to talk to me privately it would be appreciated.
Of course I can provide proof that I own a TVR

I think we’re over estimating the theft potential here.

There’s also a high likelihood of the thief killing themselves in the wet, so maybe it is a good thing this stays “secret” to prevent law suits hehe

Spoken now as a non TVR owner ... should I tell an open forum how to break into an Audi R8 ?

Can just charge it via the 12v cig socket. Easier to get in the cab than the boot.

Best thing to do is head to your local TVRCC meet and someone can probably show you. Failing that, if you happen to be near me, bring your TVR and I'll break into it for you ;-)

Yes I know but...............

The scenario is the roof is on and the car is all secured and the battery is flatter than a witches wotsit.

Stratos7, do you have a Owners Handbook there in Italy?

cool

Can change that before you've even opened the garage door to get your jack out. wink

Confused because my roof won't come off unless I force entry.

And because peeps have said my idea for charging via the starter motor is feasable, I might consider adding a 5t trolley jack and a petrol generator/charger in my boot just in case.laugh

cool

I'm from Italy so it is a bit difficult for me to attend a local TVR owners club smile
I have the owner's handbook but it didn't help me to understand how open my Chimaera with a flat battery.
The idea how to do it came to my mind just looking at the car.
however, I use a battery charger to prevent the problem

Get power to the starter motor main terminal and chassis to power the electrics and use the key fob/plip to open the car to pop the boot , just jack the car up and your good to go scratchchin not giving any security away this way
