Not sure if this is in the right forum so mods please move if required.

I'm looking for a recommended supplier to supply a work bench. The sort of bench you can fit a large vice to that will also support an engine or a car axle. Maybe 8 ft long, 4 ft wide.

Any recommendations out there? Thanks.

Can you weld? Or know a mate? They're easy to build to your size.

Thanks, I have good fabricators here who say it's cheaper to just buy something. Guess they want more exciting work lol. It'll be easier if I just buy something to similar dimensions, give or take.

I’d have a trawl through eBay, there are some decent pre owned ones there but delivery may be an issue.
There are some new ones on there too, depends how heavy you need to go.

Used Benchmaster for approx 5 bench’s at work, and in fact ordered a 2 mtr wooden top only yesterday for my new garage.

Lots of tops, colours, sizes and options available.

My local Facebook Marketplace has a couple of guys selling work benches. Built from modified pallet racking. Wood or metal tops depending on purpose. Try yours. Seems that Marketplace has largely taken over from Gumtree.

Bugger, sounds like they do. One of them could probably knock one up in a lunchtime from the right size box section. Finish with a kitchen worktop and away you go.

Pallet racking is a great idea, I'll have to remember that for next time I want one.
