Moderna Vaccine proves more than 94% effective against Covid
Discussion
Presumably there will be a number of vaccines seeking approval and coming to market over the next few months. I wonder if people will shop around to select the "best" one? Perhaps the internet comparison sites will create a section, featuring a "vaccine of the year" award? One for Good Housekeeping to do a multi-test feature about?

I hope we kept the receipt for the Pfizer ones we ordered?
The UK doesn't have any of this one on order.....Oh hang on, wait a minute, that's bad, isn't it? Only I thought there were no downsides to leaving the EU, only considerable upsides.

Whether it is good or bad completely depends on how safe the vaccine is which we will know after years of further testing.
Hopefully it will be a personal choice whether you have it or not.As long as you have some sort of immunity to Covid (natural or vaccinated) there should be no forced vaccination. If you don't have any immunity at a point in time (i.e. travelling) then you could be a potential risk to others.

Good job we left the EU, otherwise we might have ended up actually getting this vaccine as well as the other one.

Yawn. I remember people saying that about PPE. How did that go, remind me? Oh hang on, wait a minute, that's bad, isn't it? Only I thought there were no downsides to leaving the EU, only considerable upsides.

And here, in this thread is another example of our government's abject failure brought about by extremely poor policy decisions based on dogma and cronyism.

We spent billions on PPE which wasn't fit for use, and have shovelled endless amounts of money down the throats of Tory Party cronies without any open bidding in the procurement system to give the taxpayer value for money, IIRC.

This, ultimately it doesn't matter at all if these vaccines even work, it is all about money. And here, in this thread is another example of our government's abject failure brought about by extremely poor policy decisions based on dogma and cronyism.
