Just bought one, but a few issues.

Stereo doesnt work, fuse was blown changed that in one at rear of stereo and in fuse box. Nothing. Bought an aftermarket with harness nothing.

Water in drivers footwell?

Roof went half way and stuck.

Sure there will be more but any pointers will help.

Wow, you picked a goodun by the sounds of it biggrin

OK, i seem to remember from my A4 Cab memory, there might be an additional fuse in the boot (side panels) somewhere for the Radio?

Water leak is likely blocked drain holes in the scuttle panel, remove the plastic cover that runs across below the windowscreen, behind the engine. One possibly below the brake servo.

Roof is trickier, might be hydraulic, or might be position sensors, you may need to get a code reader or find someone with Vagcom and see what codes its got. If you look at the owners manual you can open/close the roof manually if you get stuck.

My A4 convertible roof got stuck open as it was just about to rain.
I panicked and did some googling and found this guys video which is a superb step by step of how to manually close the roof:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4nypDNoknA

Anyway I contacted the guy when I got home and he fixed my roof for about £100. It now works perfectly.
Well worth contacting him when you want a diagnosis or a fix, he's a really great guy and knows everything about convertible roofs and how to sort them.

Hope you get the stereo and the water problem fixed!

I had a 2004 S4 cabrio that leaked into the passenger footwell. There's all sorts of modules in the floor including the comfort module. Mine went mad and would randomly sound the alarm, roof didn't work, windows didn't work. Sounds similar to yours, is the passenger side wet too?

no just drivers side. i fot a new seal coming as the door one is damaged so hopefully easy win. Going to get an electrician to sort stereo out.

If you buy a smoke bomb and put it in the car and close doors and windows, wherever you see smoke coming out is where water is getting in.

The stereo i ended up buying a Canbus harness but can't get rear speakers to work.

Roof still fubar but bought a VCDS lead to try and reset.

Autoleads make a loom that sorts the rear speaker problem, they’re amped separately (fronts are powered by the HU) and don’t get any signal without the specific additional loom. Cant remember the part number as it was nearly 14 years ago I did mine, yikes but if you do a search on a4 rear speakers there were loads of threads on the audi forums,

Strange, that’s the exact one I bought and it worked on mine..., admittedly a B7 but the audio system was unchanged from the B6 other than updated head units,

Dont know but reading online I would have had to add a 12v line. The unit works fine except the rear but will have another go.
