Chinese microwave Indian troops

Is this the same incident that the Chinese military said didn’t happen, and the Indian military said didn’t happen?
“We didn’t publicise it because we solved the problem beautifully,” Mr Jin said. “They [India] didn’t publicise it, either, because they lost so miserably.”The US had similar tech in Afghanistan but apparently didn’t use it.
“ Microwave weapons began to attract attention in recent years as the United States researched radio-frequency, or electromagnetic pulse weapons. The weapons use high-energy electromagnetic radiation to attack targets, to destroy electronics and missile guidance systems or to harm humans. This may be the first use against hostile troops.
The US deployed its own vehicle-mounted microwave weapon, called an Active Denial System, to Afghanistan ten years ago but it was withdrawn, reportedly without being used in combat.
It is suspected that microwave weapons were used in an attack against US diplomats and their families in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou in 2018.
They may also have been responsible for the symptoms described by US and Canadian diplomats posted to Havana from 2016.”

Report in the Times that the Chinese aimed a microwave weapon at a couple of Indian held mountaintops, the Indian soldiers retreated when their flesh started to cook.
Not a good development.
(No confirmation that the Chinese commander was called Ping.)

(No confirmation that the Chinese commander was called Ping.)

How to win a battle in under five minutes.

This conflict has seen war at the two extremes - from high tech microwave weapons (if true) to sticks and stones.

800 whats.
The microwaves cannot pass through solid material.800 whats.
There is a technique to withstand it involving hiding behind a wall and popping your head up momentarily to limit exposure.
This technique is called a peek'n duck.
- Edited to improve the joke at Murph's request.
