Hi,
I am wanting to do a repair on the front air dam/splitter on an MY 15 vanquish. It is the carbon fibre splitter and I have wear marks and a hole on the leading edge not visible from above.
I have a repairer who does carbon repairs and he is happy to repair quite economically if I can remove this bottom splitter.
Can anyone help with directions.
I would like to remove it myself and take to him for repair..

If it’s similar to the Vantage, which it may not be. On the Vantage you need to remove the front wheels, inner fender liners, air boxes (at least the lower part and air filters) and under tray to get at the bolts and screws. Not difficult but a lot of things to remove.

I looked on Scuderia parts and it looks like 8 bolts, 4 each side and i would say I will need to remove the undertray at least.

Simple but a bit of effort:

Jack up both sides
Front wheels off
Release front under tray
Unbolt both wheel arches( you can get away with just the front half and pull back
Remove the airboxes
Remove the head light units
Remaining bolts run under the lights between bumper and wings on each side
Bumper then pulls forward (use 2 people or put cardboard boxes down so you don't damage the bumper further) make sure all bolts are off before you pull or you will damage the bumper or worse the wing

All in takes about an hour.

Many many thanks, I will do this with a keen assistant who recently changed the door struts on the DB9.

This should be interesting. I will keep all posted.

Good luck. Hopefully you won't need to remove headlights and bumper. I remember back being told I would need to remove bumper, but was able to get my hand up and remove the one bolt upper by the lights, that bolt was actually harder to put back. The others were simple along with several clips with a small screwdriver to pry them lose. Vanquish most likely somewhat different.
