Very unhappy with PayPal at the moment due to them expecting us to pay the fees on aborted transactions. This is a new change to their T&C's.

I've spent too long arguing with them, aside from the ethical dimension, so have decided to close the account.

Are there any decent alternatives?

Thanks in advance smile

We still offer Pay Pal (LOADS of people have an account), for cards we now use Stripe, added bonus is you can easily add Apple Pay & Google Pay. Stripe also do not refund the processing fee but their fee's are MUCH lower than Pay Pal.

Oh, & Pay Pal used to charge £20 a month for their so called Pro product, Stripe charge £0. PCI compliance is also much easier with Stripe vs Pay Pal Pro.

You could go with something like Stripe, but they don't refund transaction fees either.

They are the two biggest names in the industry and they can kind of do what they want.

Other alternatives you could consider are Amazon Pay, which is becoming more popular or Nochex, which is UK based.

Blimey, are NoChex still going? I used to offer them when I first started out on eBay. Back then Paypal payments were made in US dollars and the seller had to specify the rate of exchange. Seems incredible to think of it now.

Used NOCHEX before Pay Pal Pro, they were OK, until their servers fell over and payments failed. God knows what they are like now.

It's legit, been on the cards for ages. eBay's fees are still extortionate mind!
