Hopefully this is ok here.
Is anyone having issues using Paypal. Every single time I log in I now have to click to accept a random number text to my phone then insert the number to continue accessing to my account.
Sometimes I have to fill in a captcha as well sometimes before sometimes after the code to my phone.
My circumstances haven't really changed. I don't have large amounts going through Paypal and I tend to withdraw amounts twice a week.
I have to log in to enter tracking information on items sold via E bay as it's hit and miss that just entering those details on e bay will automatically be entered on the paypal account sometimes they do most times they don't

Paypal are completely hopeless as on the one occasion I got through I was basically told "guverment got to do it"
It only happens via Paypal non of the other financial companies have any issue

Just tried logging in and I didn't get a text message, straight in. Have you got 2FA set up?

There was a banner message about PSD2 inside the website so I wonder of they are rolling it out in stages? Not sure why they would do that though.

To be fair I had a reply to a message I sent them saying they are trying to sort this out. I posted on Facebook and had a lot of me too replies so it must be affecting some accounts.
I checked and all my details are correct. The problem is on different browsers Edge, Firefox, Chrome (I know Edge is basically chrome now anyway) and "Legacy" Edge Doesnt matter what you use. Tried from a different ip address same result
It's just damn frustrating when you need to log in and would be very awkward if you lost your mobile

It seems to be a thing for payment processors and credit card payments to be adding 2FA.
Absolutely no issues from me, if the sms or rolling code stops some fraud smile

Seems to be device related (at least for me anyway) - on my desktop pc I get a text every time I log in - on my iPad I never get one.

Yes.
I suspect its something they haven't set up correctly
Whilst its inconvenient at the moment it's manageable. Issues will arise if the phone number on the account is inaccessible.
The code only lasts 10 minutes and I am led to believe if one isn't entered the account may be frozen
If you dont have mobile signal or your battery goes etc you could be stuck
