Merging Xbox gold and EA access with ultimate?

Does anyone know the deal with using 12 months gold and 12 months EA if you’re already in ultimate?

I’ve two codes but don’t know what will happen if I try to add them to my ultimate?

Obvious answer is try.

I believe it concerts 12 months gold to 4 months ultimate is that correct?
