Hello all, just looking for a quick sanity check regards a vehicle I'm looking at which is in NI. I did search, but most threads seemed to be circa 10 years old and I'm wondering if things have changed.
Car was originally registered in England, but has been in NI the last 3 years. I'd be looking to bring it back to Scotland.
It's still on the original issue 'dated' registration, not NI style.
DVLA MOT history, as expected, has no data past when it went to NI.
However DVLA vehicle enquiry site can tell me the tax ran out last month and it has a MOT until November 2021. Is this usual?
I assume that taking a car to NI is not classed as permanent export since it is part of the UK? The DVLA site only mentions 'Ireland' by which I assume they mean the republic? The car doesn't show as 'exported' on a basic vehicle check.
Possibly being over-cautious, but I don't want to land myself in a lot of bother if I bring it back.
