B6 can’t open drivers door

The drivers door on my b6 avant is not opening. The remote unlocking isn’t working (all other doors and boot open from the fob).

It’s been sitting a little while so had got quite damp - could water have got into that one locking mechanism?

What’s the best plan of attack?

B5 was notorious for the micro-switches failing in the door locks, not certain if it's the same failure on the B6

If I can get it open, I can take the door card off and see what the issue is but I can’t do that.
