I absolutely love champagne, I drink far too much of it really (go out intending to drink beer and end saying WTF only £65 a bottle, may as well 
) I really do like the taste but many people I know do not and some even admit to preferring cava...
as for caviar...

I prefer champagne to anything else. Love the stuff, and usually partake about once a week.
A bit expensive I guess to buy it as a normal everyday drink, but it doesn't stop me. I try and convince myself that it takes less of it to get me merry, so I save that way!
caviar doesn't really rock my world to be honest.

Love Champagne but if you're going to mix it with anything then use Cava. It's a waste of money IMHO.
(Speaking of mixing, try it with Bombay Saphire - Superb)
I'm a Moét man generally though although Canard is really good and cheaper. I've a bottle of Krug stashed for a special occasion.
Spent the first four months of this year in Baku and got a real taste for Caviar (Mainly becuase it was 50p a pint so didn't mind experimenting with the stuff)
Loads of different ways of eating it but my preffered method ended being with Cream /Onion dab and a of Lemon

Big fan of proper champagne, adore Cristal, Grand Dame and La Belle Epoque a lovely velvety biscuityness.
Dont care much for the racing driver £20 a bottle stuff.
Caviar again I like the way the proper stuff explodes just as it hits body temp but the killer there is I dont like salt so cant really stomach more than the tiniest amount.
